The evening drive started off with us scratching around Nkorho for anything that would be fun and interesting to view, but it did not take long before we started heading west to go see what was in store for us on that side of the world. On our way west we found a large Elephant bull that must be about 40 years old. He stood in the road and gave us great photographic opportunities, it really is amazing to view such a Huge Elephant. We eventually moved on and the search was then on for a Rhino, we were rewarded with one walking past the vehicle also offering us great photographic opportunities, as he moved along he was scent marking his territory. Then news came on the radio that Salahexe had been spotted with her cubs. We quickly made our way across and eventually found her sleeping at a crossing but unfortunately we were unable to see the cubs, we spent some time with her before stopping for a sundowner with the setting sun in the west. On becoming mobile again we found a Puff adder next to the road. We then returned to the lodge to enjoy dinner. |

The morning started out with a bang, with us finding an Elephant bull in musth on our open area and 3 Jackal pups playing next to them. The one pup gave the Elephants a stare down but soon turned and ran. We tried to relocate the windmill pride of Lions and found the tracks at the back of the lodge, and followed the tracks for almost 90 minutes when we saw the worst sight in the world the tracks crossing into the Kruger Park this really was an anticlimax. General game was in abundance with great sightings of Waterbuck, Impala, Zebra, Giraffe and Duiker. We stopped at big dam were the Hippos once again gave us a remarkable display. On finishing our coffee we slowly started making our way back to the lodge to enjoy our breakfast.
