First on our list of sightings this morning is that of two black-backed jackals on the open area in front of the lodge. We then moved off and found a hippo slowly walking down the road back to the pan; he had spent the evening grazing and was now returning to the water. Next to be found was the young male leopard, Matimba, he had made a kill during the night and was enjoying his meal. He offered us great photographic opportunities. We then moved off and came across four rhinos' grazing next to the road. On our way back to the lodge we were stopped by a small breeding herd of elephants crossing the main road. General game was once again in abundance with great sightings of giraffe, blue wildebeest and zebra.

The afternoon drive once again started off with an abundance of general game. However the highlight of the drive was finding a cheetah! We spent a lot of time with him as he groomed himself then started moving off while marking his territory as he went along. Lastly to be found was an elephant bull grazing next to the road.
