General game was once again in abundance with great sightings of kudu, zebra and quite a few giraffe. We then moved off and tried to relocate Karula and her cubs but unfortunately they had moved off and we were unable to find them again. Next we came across two elephant bulls; the one was extremely inquisitive and came up close to the vehicle smelling the air around us. On our way back to the lodge we came across a large herd of impala and blue wildebeest.

The afternoon drive once again started off with fantastic sightings of giraffe; they seemed to be around each and every corner. We stopped for sundowners at the dam where the hippo’s put on a spectacular display for us and also offered us great photographic opportunities. After sundowners we found Safari, female leopard, lying next to the road; she was not disturbed by us and carried on resting.
